To get a mount you have to purchase an egg from the Mounts Keeper. The Mounts Keeper is located in Palm Beach(Uptown for Dynasty) and Beverly Hill(Uptown for Empire). The eggs cost 400k and take 3 hours(180 minutes) to hatch. If you use a Hatching Formula Potion, which can be bought from the MWO mall under Mounts tab, The egg will hatch in 5 minutes. Rare eggs, such as Coredragon and Golden Phoenix drop from Saint Altars Beast. There have been a few reports of these 2 mounts hatching from ordianry eggs, but no evidence. The mount that hatches is completely random, you have no coltrol of what you are going to get. There are 6 mounts(8 if you count the reports of Coredragon and Golden Phoenix hatching from ordinary eggs) that you can get from ordinary mount eggs. Of the 6, the Unicorn is the rarest. When you hatch a Unicorn a world message is broadcast.

The following is how to care for your moutn after it hatches.
Mount's start out at level 0 when they hatch. It takes 5 levels until they reach adulthood. When it is in the juvenile stage you feed it powders.
Note: You cannot ride or see your mount until it reaches adulthood.
The powders it requires are as follows:
Level 0-1: Normal magic powder - decompose lvl 1-12 items
Level 1-2: Fine magic powder - decompose lvl 13-22 itemsLevel 2-3: Perfect magic powder - decompose lvl 23-37 itemsLevel 3-4: Excellent magic powder - decompose lvl 38-48 itemsLevel 4-5: Fantastic magic powder - decompose lvl 49+ items
Every feed requires 2 stacks of the required powder, except level 5 which requires 1 stack.
lvl 0:10 feeds * 2 stacks = 200 Normal powders to get to level 1.
lvl 1:20 feeds * 2 stacks = 400 Fine powders to get to level 2.
lvl 2:30 feeds * 2 stacks = 600 Perfect powders to get to level 3.
lvl 3:40 feeds * 2 stacks = 800 Excellent powders to get to level 4.
lvl 4:50 feeds * 1 stack = 500 Fantastic powders to reach adulthood.
After this your mount will be an adult. You can now ride your mount and fight with it.Note: If you are unhappy with how your mount turns out(no hidden attribute, low stats, etc) the MWO MAll has a Juvenile Rebirth potion. this set's your mounts level back to 0 so you can raise it again for better stats.
The following is how to care for your mount after adulthood.
Your mount no longer requires powders to be fed to it. It now requires "Forages". These can be bought from the Mounts Keeper in Uptown, or you can buy them from the MWO mall. The ones in the mall are stacked together so they take up less room in your bag.
Your mount no longer has a starvation degree. It now has stamina. When stamina reaches 0/100 it does not die, you just lose it's bonuses and it dosn't fight with you. Forages restore stamina.
It gains EXP by fighting with you. Also every level there is a 10% chance that it will get a skill. These skilsl ahve a 10% chance to go off when the mount attacks. Every 5 levels(Level 5 and Level 10) there is a 50% chance to get an accessory slot. Pet Pendents go into this. They are found from Lucky Cards which drop from enemies(such as the Saint Altar Beast) or can be bought from the MWO mall under the mounts tab.
Note: if you are unhappy with how your mount turns out(Not enough skills or accessory slots), the MWO Mall has an Adult Rebirth Potion. This set's your mounts level back to 0 so you can raise it again for better attributes.
